East County
The eastern part of San Diego County is a mix of urban and rural communities and a diverse wilderness of mountains, lakes and canyons that provide for endless outdoor activities. Both the 600,000-acre Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and Cleveland National Park are nestled in the region, as well as El Capitan Reservoir, Lake Murray, Mission Trails Regional Park and Cowles Mountain. Several Native American tribes also make their home on reservations in the area.
