CENTRAL SAN DIEGO
Central San Diego is a pocket of smaller-sized communities that lie along some of the canyons and mountains just east of the Pacific. Including Mission Valley and Old Town – also known as the birthplace of California – the central part of San Diego is the core of the city and a mix of old and new. The old Mission, host of shops, and museums contrast with the nearby Mission Bay Park (the largest man made water park in the country) and San Diego Sea World, representing the enduring prosperity of this great city.
