Borrego Springs Real Estate | Borrego Springs Homes For Sale

A small town bordering Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Borrego Springs is a quiet community proudly rooted in its natural setting. Designated as California’s first International Dark Sky Community, there are no traffic lights in the town and nighttime lighting is limited in order to preserve an unhindered view of the starry night sky. A downtown area contains restaurants, ice cream shops and lodging as well as a flourishing art scene. In addition to the large metal sculptures placed roadside by artist Ricardo Breceda, there are galleries with work by local artists, art classes from the Borrego Art Institute and annual art events.

Ranch-style and modern pueblo-style homes provide private and modest yet spacious retreats with views of Coyote Canyon and a horizon that stretches for miles. Stargazing parties, canyon hiking and biking, pool lounging, golfing and grapefruit-picking are some of the local past-times. The Borrego Valley Airport lies three miles outside of town, Salton Sea is 30 miles to the east, Escondido is approximately 90 minutes west by car and downtown San Diego is a two hour drive to the southwest.
