Saluting Willis Allen Real Estate’s leaders on Bosses Day

Bosses Day is on Wednesday, October 16. It’s a day set aside for employees to appreciate their employers. We couldn’t let Bosses Day pass without paying homage to the Willis Allen Real Estate leaders who are truly the cream of the crop.

Andrew E. Nelson, President & Owner

Andy grew up in Del Mar and graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He always wanted to raise his family in San Diego.

Andy served in the US Navy flying the F-4 Phantom during the Vietnam conflict before returning to California. With some tools and help of friends, Andy built a circular home in Mammoth Lakes. He still owns it today.

It was that experience – and his natural affinity for people – that led Andy to pursue a career in residential real estate. In 1977, Andy started working at Willis Allen Real Estate. In 1980, he was named president. He purchased the remaining shares of the company in 1995.

Andy grew the company to include six office locations and over 200 agents. He is passionate about community service and leads his company by example on that front. Scripps Health, San Diego Hospice and La Jolla Community Foundation, are a few of the organizations he supports.

Jane Granados, Chief Operating Officer & Managing Broker

Jane is a 30-year veteran of Willis Allen Real Estate. She started as an assistant in marketing and accounting before shifting her attention to marketing full-time. Jane was named Willis Allen Real Estate’s operations manager in 1999. In that role, she was instrumental in orchestrating the company’s expansion.

Jane served as the La Jolla office branch manager for many years before taking over as chief operating officer and managing broker. Jane says Willis Allen is the best place to have a career, and we couldn’t agree more!

We hope Andy and Jane have the greatest Bosses Day ever since they are the greatest bosses in the industry.
