The Best Easter Celebrations San Diego has to Offer
Bunny Train and Egg Hunt — Ride the rails with the Easter Bunny at The Pacific Southwest Railway Museum’s Bunny Train event. After the hour-long ride through San Diego’s east-county mountains, two egg hunts and museum displays await. Tickets range from $5 to $26 for April 13, 14, and 20.
Easter Bash – Belmont Park’s annual Easter celebration is an all-day affair on Easter Sunday. It includes multiple egg hunts on the beach and in the park with more than 20,000 eggs. Easter Bunny Tea & Easter Champagne Brunch – The Westgate Hotel presents two Parisian-style afternoon teas for families, April 19 and 20. Each tea is followed by an egg hunt on the terrace and magic show by the Easter Bunny. $55 for adults and $35 for children ages 4-12. Or attend an elegant Easter brunch on the 21st with face-painting and Easter Bunny photo ops. $99 for adults and $35 for children ages 4-12.
Easter at The Del – Hotel del Coronado offers several opportunities to celebrate on Easter Sunday. There are two brunches, several egg hunts, a petting zoo, and an Easter church service. Visit the website for pricing, menus, times, and reservations.
Easter Sunrise Service – Pacific Beach UMC and Water’s Edge Faith Community invite you to Crown Point Park on Mission Bay on Easter Sunday, 6-7 a.m. Enjoy coffee, donuts, worship music, communion, and the Easter story as the sun rises.

Spring Eggstravaganza – The eggs are underwater at the Birch Aquarium! Head down to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography for a little something different this Easter. Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14 and 20-21, there will be Scuba Bunny themed dive shows, a scavenger hunt, egg activities, and a craft.
Spring Egg Hunt – The La Jolla Recreation Center hosts an egg hunt every half hour by age group. Also on tap – arts and crafts, meet-and-greet with Peter Rabbit, and a goodie bag. Cost is $10 per child. Saturday, April 20, 9:30 a.m. to noon.
