Now, you’re hungry, and it’s late. Luckily, there are plenty of options in San Diego to satisfy midnight munchies.

Here are our favorite restaurants for late-night noshing:
  • Rudford’s Restaurant – You can always count on a diner to curb cravings, and San Diegans have been relying on Rudford’s meat-and-potatoes meals since 1949. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are on stand-by 24/7. 2900 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego

  • Rose Donuts – Never get stuck with a donut desire after mid-morning again. Rose Donuts serves glorious glazed morsels 24/7, as well as sandwiches and other breakfast treats. 5201 Linda Vista Rd., San Diego

  • Brian’s 24 – This “restaurant that never sleeps” serves up delicious comfort food all day (and night!). A special late-night menu filled with all things sweet, sour, fried, and breakfast-y make it obvious why this Gaslamp Quarter kitchen is a go-to for locals. 828 Sixth Ave., San Diego

  • Buddy’s Diner – Another classic when it comes to late-night dining, this PB gem serves up all-American diner food around the clock to rave reviews. 1564 Garnet Ave., San Diego

  • Yokohama Yakitori Koubou – If you’re tired enough, you might actually think you’ve teleported to the other side of the globe at this Japanese restaurant. Opened in Japan in 1985, the establishment’s San Diego location offers authentic fare Tuesday-Sunday, 5 p.m.-3 a.m. 3904 Convoy St., Ste. 108, San Diego

  • Studio Diner – Yes, this diner is worth adding another one to the list. Delicious diner fare, neon and chrome, and a portfolio-decor of moderate movie fame are served up 24 hours Thursday-Saturday and 5:30 a.m.-midnight every other day. 4701 Ruffin Rd., San Diego

  • Night and Day Café – If you’re burning the midnight oil in Coronado, swing by this neighborhood standard that’s been in business for 60 years.   • Hoboken Pizza and Beer Joint – Did we almost make it through this list without pizza?? Not quite! Serving massive pies in PB, plus other Italian favorites, this ‘za joint is open till 2:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 a.m. every other night except Monday. 1459 Garnet Ave., San Diego
