An unofficial kick-off to the summer season, Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner. If you’re looking to make the most of your Memorial Day weekend in the San Diego area, here are a few ideas to get you started.
Legacy Week (May 27-29) – The USS Midway Museum will host its annual Memorial Day weekend celebration with a ceremony, concert and family-friendly activities.
Liberty Public Market (May 28) – Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the patio at Liberty Public Market for their Live Music Sunday performance – and scrumptious food and beverages, of course.
Memorial Day Rooftop Party (May 28) – Make the most of the four-day weekend at Club M’s day party (11 a.m.-6 p.m.) featuring a live DJ, barbecue and champagne.
Soledad National Veterans Memorial (May 29) – This year’s ceremony will include a special salute to our nation’s Gold Star families.
American Legion (May 29) – Join America’s largest veterans service organization for a Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Vista Civic Center.
Swift Boats at War in Vietnam Exhibit (through Nov. 14) – The holiday weekend is the perfect excuse to visit the Maritime Museum of San Diego for this exhibit compiling 38 first-hand accounts from sailors and officers who fought on the Patrol Craft Fast (PFC).
