After graduating Cum Laude with a BA in PS and Business Management, Jorie earned her Juris Doctorate and joined the CA Bar. She worked in International Purchase Agreements and as Legal Director for One Risk Management and Insurance. Her legal experience coupled with her historical ties to La Jolla and greater San Diego afford her a uniquely advantageous edge in today's real estate market. Jorie Burton Fischer is a third generation La Jollan whose involvement and exposure with La Jolla real estate was nurtured by her parents passion for buying, designing, renovating and selling homes. She has had the good fortune of living in nearly 30 homes within our community, and currently resides with her husband, Commander Dan Fischer of the US Navy, and two young children in Bird Rock. Jorie attended Boston College and graduated from University of Arizona as Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science and Business Management. She later attended and earned her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. Her career has taken her from Santiago, Chile, where she specialized in International Purchase Agreements, to the Criminal Division of the Pima County Attorney’s Office and back to California as the Director of Property, Casualty and Professional Liability for One Risk Management and Insurance Services. Community service has always been paramount to Jorie. She has been involved with National Charity League, Junior League of NYC, and she continues her local involvement with Las Patronas, St. Germaine Children’s Charitites, and Voices For Children. Refocusing her professional efforts to Real Estate was a natural and easy decision for Jorie. Her historical and philanthropic ties to La Jolla afford her a unique insight into this community.
