As a 4th generation San Diegan, Marla Hovland chose a profession in the real estate industry as a result of her love for the city. In 2006, Marla was proud to participate in the renaissance of Downtown San Diego. Working with local and national developers, Marla sold over 300 units in East Village, Cortez Hill, Little Italy and Mission Hills. In-depth market research, project positioning, strategic buyer qualification and tracking, product development, and design coordination are part of an unparalleled skill set she acquired while working in new construction. She was the first recipient of the Building Industry of America's Greatest Award for Urban Leadership, an honor for which she was nominated by her peers.
